Stripe Credit Card Field Is Using The Wrong Zip Code

When you make test purchases, you might find that you can’t input a non-U.S. zip code.

This is because Stripe determines the billing address country using the card number. Depending on the country, the system checks if the postal code should be numeric, alphanumeric, or even if it’s required.

A lot of test cards are set to a U.S. billing address. So, if you’re testing with these, make sure to use a five-digit U.S. ZIP code like 12345.

For example, with a U.S. card, only a five-digit number is accepted. For a UK card, you can use alphanumeric codes.

If you need to test with different postal code formats, opt for an international test card number.
