What's New in SureCart

We are pleased to announce SureCart 2.23 which brings a new and convenient way to toggle checkout forms Live/Test mode!

You could always do this in the checkout form editor, but it’s a few extra steps and with something this important, we wanted to bring more visibility to it.

Now when you are logged in as the admin, and you are viewing a page with a checkout form on it, you will see this new option in the admin bar that displays the mode of the checkout form, and offers a quick way to toggle it.

New:

• Change: When no store logo is updated, no longer show the site title on instant checkout and customer dashboard.

Fix:

• Fix: Issue with tax input id not selecting correct tax type if only one tax type is added and country is not immediately selected in the address.

• Fix: Issue with filtering collections showing blank page in admin.

We are pleased to announce SureCart 2.22 which brings affiliate management into your website!

One of the main reasons merchants choose SureCart is because everything is seamlessly integrated. All of our features are carefully crafted to work together as a whole, delivering an unparalleled experience for our merchants.

You can’t get this ease of use elsewhere where you are required to buy a bunch of add-ons that sorta work together, but all have separate interfaces and screens. It’s a very overwhelming experience, but not with SureCart!

This becomes very clear when you view an affiliate’s profile, and it displays everything about that affiliate, including their:

• Referals
• Payouts
• Affiliate coupons
• Clicks
• Join date
• And even their avatar

You don’t get this level of 360 degree profile elsewhere.

This update also simplifies affiliate management. You can now link an order to an affiliate, link a customer to an affiliate, create affiliate coupons, and much more.

We are pleased to announce SureCart 2.21, which brings Bulk Actions and several other improvements.

The first bulk action we are adding to SureCart is to delete products in bulk.

This was a common request from our users as well as video creators that are teaching people how to use SureCart.

We plan on more bulk actions in the future.

We are pleased to announce SureCart 2.20, which brings Tax Overrides to all SureCart merchants.

When we first released SureCart two years ago, one of our goals was to make tax collection easy and automated. And without making our merchants have to pay a service for real time tax calculations.

We are very proud to be offering this to all merchants, and it comes at a significant cost to us, but it’s totally worth it because our goal is to make ecommerce easy for everyone.

But there are cases where a merchant is selling a product that has a unique tax rate. For example, in France, if you are selling physical books, that unique tax rate is 5%.

There is also another unique case where a merchant must charge tax on shipping charges.

Tax Overrides gives you granular control over the tax rate, and it’s very easy to set up with 3 simple steps:

1. Create a new product collection to group the products you want to add a Tax Override to
2. Add the products to the collection
3. Visit the tax settings and create a Tax Override for the product collection

As you add new products to your store, you can add them to the product collection if you want a special Tax Override applied to them.

This makes managing the Tax Overrides very simple as your store grows.

• Improvement: Limit the tax ids shown in the tax id form input.

• Improvement: Update customer display conditions wording on upsells to be more descriptive.

Fix:

• Fix: Issue with using product collection and product list shortcodes on the same page.
• Fix: Issue where a merchant could select a region to register for taxes that already exists, causing a save error.
• Fix: Cart incorrectly using subtotal instead of total.

We are pleased to announce SureCart 2.19, which brings improvements and refinements.

I know this is back to back updates, but we wanted to get funnels out yesterday.

The main changes are:

• Affiliate platform options are brought into the plugin settings. This is the first step in merging the experience.
• If you sell licenses, your customers can now manage the domain activations in the customer area. So for example, if you have purchased SureMembers, you can now manage the activations of the license.
• Changes to the onboarding. You now get 2 choices during setup: no demo products and demo products. If you choose demo products, you get 11 products preconfigured with settings to get a better understanding of all you can do with SureCart.
• After installation, the 3 steps at the top have changed. These are the 3 things we want all new stores to do to be fully setup.

Regarding the demo products, next month we will be adding a bulk delete from the product list view.
